Hi! My name is Caytlin!
Let's see... a little about me: I'm a Seattle-based artist, with an extensive background in comics, graphic design, illustration, and other assorted artistic endeavors. I love tabletop gaming, comics, animation, linguistics, SCIENCE!!!, math, puzzles, and, of course, art!
See, you and I, I think we'd get along. Not only am I incredibly talented (if I do say so myself!) but I'm extremely friendly, fun, and incredibly driven to boot! I love to make everything quirky and fun, but always clean and professional, too!
Need references? I've got them by the bushel! Got a complicated project? No problem! You've got a deadline, and I love to meet 'em! I'm fast and efficient and absolutely thrilled to tackle any challenge. (Puzzles! Yay!)
Does that sound awesome? It should! Well, guess what? My expertise and creative intuition are at your fingertips. You may not know it yet, but believe me: I'm the best tool you could have in your artistic arsenal.
Oh my goodness! You want to hire me? I'm flattered!
I do all kinds of freelancing, including comics and design. Just shoot me an email and we can chat about what you need! My prices are tailored to each project, so I'll be happy to provide a quote, no strings attached.
Still, it helps to have a guideline! A general guideline for how I calculate my prices can be found below:
Comics: $250 per color page; $200 per black & white page.
Design: $60/hour, plus expenses. Flat rates are calculated based on this.
Art Commissions: $40/sketch, $60/inked, $80+ for color. (Single character, no background.)
Prices may vary depending on the complexity of the project, which I will explain in the quote. If I feel I'm unable to take your project for any reason, I will happily refer you to some of the many other incredibly talented artists and designers I know!
Where can you find me?
Walking on Broken Glass - This is my webcomic I work on with Samantha Mathis, my crazy-awesome clothes-sewin', jewelry-makin', comic-writin' cohort. It's a supernatural office dramedy romance about murder. Sound interesting? Go read the archives!
DeviantArt - I toss stuff up here once in a while, mostly sketches and such. If you want to see more of my art (yay!), then check it out here.
Twitter - I talk here. A lot. I engage in conversation with lots of people and talk about art and stuff. I also post more sketches here, and do mini-contests for Broken Glass.
Facebook - I keep updated here, but mostly to talk to other people. I know at least of a good handful of professionals I keep up with on Facebook.
Google+ - I am much more likely to engage with people here, however!
Tumblr - Most of my art posts here are cross-posted with Tumblr, with a smattering of other randomness as well.
And, of course, email. If you don't like using a mail client with that link (I know I don't), just point your email at cvilbrandt@criticalhitdesign.com. You can see about hiring me, or ask me a question, or really just chat with me. I'm happy to talk to anyone!
